Excellent screen door: sturdy, heavy-duty easy to assemble and install.

The Hercules sliding door arrived perfectly sized to requested dimensions. I used a rubber mallet to assemble the frame. Filing the edges of the corners made for a flush fit. With the screen installed, the door was sturdy and works well. Highly recommend the door.

We had a great experience with Metro Screens. We bought a total of 18 screens, 16 windows screens and 2 Hercules sliding screens. The first 16 window screens we bought came quickly and one had a bent frame and we reached out to Metro Screen. They asked for a picture to verify and quickly sent us a replacement. After this great experience, we bought 2 Hercules sliding screens. The screens are very well built and we love it. They even offered to sent us the sliding screens fully assembled at no charge! We will definitely buy more when the need the arise and will recommend them to family and friends! Thank you!

I installed a new custom Hercules sliding screen door today. It was very well packaged for shipping as assembled. It's very easy to install and fit perfectly (don't forget to adjust the upper rollers too, and add the upper square plastic track guides). It wasn't cheap, but it's worth the money. I chose the pet screen and the stainless steel kit (salt air). Solid framing, tough screen, smooth operation, nice latch system, and good locking mechanism. This door is light-years better than the "junk" they sell at the "big box" stores. I will buy again from Metro! Thank you, Metro Screenworks! Nice job!

We received the Hercules screen door (unassembled) and we put it together without problems. It is very good quality, and with minor adjustments, installed on our patio door easily.

I selected the "unassembled" Hercules model. And it seems to be excellent quality. I assembled the frame and "tested" it in the door opening and it seems to work fine. Then I installed the screen. All went nicely according to the video (you do have to find the video on one of the other models, Metro should consider adding a link to the TOP END Hercules model. I (obviously) do not know the long term durability, but it is VERY well built. I tried a cheap box-store door and those are NOT worth the time or money. It was a stop gap waiting for delivery and not expected to survive. The door was 1/8" BIGGER than the dimensions I requested. I checked back with Metro and they assure that is "normal" manufacturing tolerances. I have worked with and for several manufacturing companies, and I would suggest they work to IMPROVE that. That is why I tested it BEFORE installing the screen, and will test again before I trim the excess screen. I hope is passes. Many metal works companies can hold tighter tolerances. And OVERSIZE seems like it could be a problem to some people. I would encourage a GOAL or + 0" and - 1/8" for their manufacturing people. And as a minor point, the corners of the cut material are VERY sharp. I took a flat file and very gently shaved off the end point. It would be VERY easy to sustain a nasty cut if not careful with assembly. They are even very sharp after the frame is assembled. I hope Metro can make these minor improvements, as it is a VERY VERY nice and well built door.

Our patio door has been missing it's screen door for a while now. It was flimsy and broke and I couldn't get a replacement in it's size. Anyway because I was able to customize my screen door with Metroscreenworks, I give them a try.. Money well spent! The door is strong and glides easily. My door had to be assemble. If you can use a screwdriver and figure what a rectangle is, then you can do it.. when you unpack the box keep in mind that door parts has sharp ends before assembled, and make sure corners are flush before tightening screws. It took me about 30 minutes to install the mesh. Follow the instructions and take your time... After installation my wife was all hugs and kisses..lol.

Love the heavyweight frame, very easy to assemble.
