These screens can be used in single or double hung windows as well as slider windows (extends vertically).

When fully closed, this screen is 31 3/8 inches wide, and when fully extended the frame is 59 inches: it can be set to any width between these two adjustable sizes to fit your window opening.

Are Adjustable Window Screens Pet Safe?

No. Like any other screen, adjustable window screens can protect your pets against insect bites that can lead to illnesses like heartworm. However, these screens can’t protect your pet from falling out the window if the screens are leaned against. They also may not withstand frequent clawing. For a more durable screen, shop our custom adjustable screens and choose super screen.

How Do You Measure for Adjustable Window Screens?

Measure the width or height of your window. For single and double hung windows, measure the width of your window to determine the size of the adjustable screen needed. For sliding windows, measure the height of the window opening. If there is a channel in either window type that the screen may sit in (on the sides for hung windows and top and/or bottom of slider windows) be sure to measure from inside the channel for the most accurate measurement.
