BetterVue screening offers great value for your money and better visibility than standard fiberglass screening – and at a fraction of the cost of competitive products. BetterVue is woven from small, refined black yarns that improve the screen’s openness, making visibility sharper and more brilliant while also increasing airflow. BetterVue is often called "invisible screen" because compared to the outward visibility of standard screen, BetterVue appears "invisible." It installs in window screens, door screens, porches, and patios.
- A black mesh that offers more optical clarity for a crisper, brighter outward view
- More natural light and dramatically improves air flow with enhanced openness
- Practically undetectable from the exterior which enhances the curb appeal of your home or office
- Water Shed Technology™ hydrophobic coating to help shed water and grime
- Lower glare and less visible to the eye
- Durable material for greater life expectancy of window screen
- Nearly undetectable from the exterior of your home for better curb appeal
- GREENGUARD certified
*BetterVue is not actually invisible or a clear mesh but appears invisible because of its finely woven construction, and when compared to the visibility that standard fiberglass offers. It is black in color and made of coated fiberglass.

What is the Best Bulk Window Screen Material?
It depends on what you need. If you would like better visibility, BetterVue is one of the best window screen materials for that. However, if you need ultimate durability, then for example, super screen or pet screen might be better. If you need solar protection, we’d advise choosing solar screen. To see all of the screen types we offer, visit our screen roll page and contact us with your questions.
How Do You Replace a Mesh Door Screen?
Remove spline and remove old screen mesh, then replace with new screen and if needed, new spline. To remove the spline, use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry it out and then pull it out of the channel. When placing the new screen, use a roller tool to place the new spline that will hold the new screen in place. If you have any questions, contact us!

well made screen
After much research, we purchased a roll of 60 Inch x 100 Ft BetterVue Invisible Screen to screen in a second floor deck. We have two eight foot sliding doors that enter this space, which looks over a park like setting. We wanted to maintain the view and reject gnats and other insects. The screen was packaged appropriately, arrived promptly and was super easy to insert into the Screen Tight System. Although it took us three days of work, moving scaffolding and pausing for storms to pass, we love the end result and our new screened in room! If I had to do it again, I would not change a thing (except the TN humidity lol).
Improved our porch view dramatically. Highly recommend.
Ask for samples prior to purchase. Arrived within a week. Placed order and everything arrived within a week. Replace all of the screens on a sunporch. They look great. Wite stretched well, never tore and are sturdy. Thank you!
This is our second set of the Better Vue screening. Our first got damaged by cats climbing the screens and puppies tearing at it. We will not consider any other screening because of our views from the porch.
