Calculating How Many Mini Track Sticks You Need

To estimate the amount of Mini Track required, measure the perimeter of each opening you plan to screen. For a rectangular opening: (Height + Width) × 2 = Total Linear Feet Needed. Add the perimeter measurements for all openings together and divide the total by 8 feet to estimate the number of 96" Mini Track sticks required. We recommend allowing approximately 10–15% additional material for cuts, waste, and project adjustments.

For Mini Track screw placement, Screen Tight recommends approximately 12 screws per 8-foot track, with a screw approximately 2 inches from each end and approximately every 8 inches in between.

What type of spline does Mini Track use?

Mini Track is designed to use special Mini Track square spline. .175" round spline may work in certain applications with thicker screen materials, but Mini Track square spline is the specified spline for the system.
