How do I determine which type of screen material to purchase?
Here is a link to an information page that gives a general overview on different screen materials available and their specifications: /screen-mesh-wire-mesh/
Do we sell partial rolls of screen material?
Yes! It does depend on the product. Most rolls of screen materials are available in 100ft, 50ft, 25ft and 8ft rolls. On some rolls of screen material we even offer cut rolls to length. Please email or call us to check pricing and availability for cut pieces.
Which screen material allows the best visibility through it?
Darker color screen mesh like brown and black give the best visibility through them. The lighter color materials like white or silver are actually harder to see through. Standard charcoal fiberglass and black or charcoal aluminum wire offer good visibility. If you want an invisible screen we recommend the BetterVue or UltraVue screening.
What is the difference between Better Vue and Ultra Vue?
BetterVue (iVis or improved visibility) is available up to 108” wide and ideal for larger openings on porches and patios. UltraVue (eVis or excellent visibility) is available up to 72” wide and is better for window screens and smaller openings. UltraVue offers slightly better visibility then the Better Vue. Better Vue offers more durability and strength for larger openings.
What is the difference between Super Screen and Pet Screen?
Both Pet and Super Screen are made of a durable vinyl coated polyester material that is resistant to pets and damage. Super Screen is manufactured up to 120” in width and ideal for spanning large openings on porches and enclosures. Super screen has slightly thinner strands offering better visibility. Super Screen also installs well in lighter weight window screen frames. Pet screen has slightly thicker strands so it offers an extra level of durability. Pet screen is made up to 96” in width and can be installed in porches, patios and screen doors.
Which screen material gives me the most privacy?
The 90% or greater solar screen offers good daytime privacy well still allowing good outward visibility. The Florida Glass / GlassShield is a solid material that functions as a privacy screen on the bottom of pool and patio enclosures.
