Come See Us: Metro Screenworks' New Highlands Ranch Showroom
Choosing the right window screen is harder than it looks online.
Mesh types look different in photographs than they do in real life. Frame colors that seem identical on a screen can vary noticeably when you hold them side by side. And solar screens, pet screens, and specialty mesh all have textures and densities that only make sense once you've seen them in person.
That's exactly why we renovated our Highlands Ranch showroom — and why we think it's worth the drive.
What's New at the Showroom
Our Highlands Ranch location has been home base for Metro Screenworks for years. But the newly renovated showroom is a different experience than walking into a warehouse. We built it specifically so that Colorado customers can see, touch, and compare our products before committing.
The renovation brought in a fully redesigned sample display — three tiers of framed screen samples spanning our entire product line, organized by frame color and mesh type, each labeled with the specs. Track lighting runs the full length of the space so you can see exactly how each mesh looks in different light conditions.
We're proud of how it came together. It looks and feels like a place where you can take your time and make a confident decision.
What You'll Find Inside
Walking into the showroom, you'll see dozens of framed screen samples across our full range of frame colors and mesh types. A few highlights:
Frame colors on display — including white, black, bronze, tan, gold/brass, and dark green. Seeing these in person against each other is the clearest way to decide what works with your windows and exterior.
Standard fiberglass and aluminum mesh — the workhorses. Good for most replacement screens. You can see the difference in texture and weave density up close.
Solar screens — our most popular specialty product. The dark, tightly woven mesh reduces heat and glare while still letting light in. The opacity level only makes sense once you've held one up.
Pet screen — heavier gauge, noticeably sturdier than standard mesh. If you have dogs or cats who push against your screens, you'll understand why this one is worth upgrading to the moment you touch it.
Pollen and allergen filter screens — fine mesh you can barely see through but that catches airborne particles before they come inside. Popular with Colorado allergy sufferers during high pollen season.
Hardware and accessories — spline, corner clips, frame rail samples, and more are on display so contractors and DIYers can see exactly what they're working with before ordering.
Bring Your Old Screen In
One of the most useful things you can do when you visit is bring your old screen or screen frame with you.
Our team will measure it on the spot, help you identify the frame profile, and recommend the right replacement mesh and hardware. Walk in with a broken screen, walk out knowing exactly what to order. No guesswork, no back-and-forth measuring at home.
This works for window screens, sliding screen doors, porch and patio screen panels, and most standard frame types. If you're not sure whether we can help with your specific situation, call ahead — we'd rather take five minutes on the phone than have you make a trip for nothing.
Talk to Someone Who Actually Knows Screens
We've been building custom screens since 1979. The people in our showroom aren't generalists — they work with screens every day, they know the products, and they can help you figure out what you actually need versus what you think you need.
If you've been trying to figure out the right mesh for a porch enclosure, or you're not sure whether to repair or replace a frame, or you want to see the difference between 80% and 90% solar screen before ordering, this is the place to do it.

Can't Make It In Person?
We ship custom-built screens anywhere in the country. If you're outside the Colorado area or just prefer to order online, our website lets you configure your screen by size, frame color, and mesh type — and we'll build it to your exact specifications.
But if you're local and you've been putting off a screen project because you weren't sure what to order, the showroom takes that uncertainty off the table.
